Repair Stages

Head as received from customer with crack visible in intake bowl (outlined with marker).

Intake seat removed.

 

 

CLICK
Cracked vee’d out. Probing for end of crack with tig welder.

Crack completely ground out, ready for finish welding.

Crack completely welded up.

Counterbore cut for intake seat.

 

 

CLICK
Welded areas rough ground.

 

 

CLICK
Head in the pressure tester.

Beryllium copper seats installed.

Seats are roughed in on our Serdi.

Finished head with seats re-cut on our Newen EPOC and hand blending.
